Nav VI weirdness

Coming home from breakfast this morning I noticed this odd notation in the top banner line of my Garmin NAV VI:

Does anyone here know what this "2: 1 min." means? I've never seen it before. There was no activate route or navigation in effect. Just the map display up on the short ride home from the breakfast diner.

Any ideas?
